Work off that extra turkey and stuffing with a hike along Dowdell’s Knob loop trail (4.2 miles total). Meet at Dowdell’s Knob parking lot off Hwy 190. Dress for the weather and bring plenty of water. Cancelled in the event of storms. Free.

Chat with a ranger and walk ½ mile (1 mile total) to Buzzard’s Roost. Watch the sunrise (7:40 am) and learn more about the park. Coffee provided at end. Stone amphitheater next to Park Office. Must pre-register. $3 per person.
