SUMMARY:Wreaths Across America Laying - Pine Mountain Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:Wreaths Across America – Pine Mountain\, Georgia\nSaturday\, December 19\, 2026\n10 a.m.\nPine Mountain Cemetery (formerly known as Chipley Cemetery)\n430 E. Harris Street\, Pine Mountain\, GA \n🇺🇸 Remember. Honor. Teach. 🇺🇸 \nEach December\, Wreaths Across America brings communities together to remember our nation’s veterans\, honor those who serve and teach future generations the value of freedom and sacrifice. \nThe King’s Gap Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invites the community to participate in the 2026 Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday\, Dec. 19. \nThe ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Pine Mountain Cemetery\, where sponsored wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves. Following the ceremony and wreath placement\, participants will caravan to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery to place wreaths on veterans’ graves there. \nPlacing a wreath on a veteran’s grave is more than a holiday tradition. Each wreath is an opportunity to remember an individual who served our country and to ensure that his or her service and sacrifice are not forgotten. \nSponsor a Wreath\nCommunity members are encouraged to sponsor wreaths for veterans at Pine Mountain Cemetery and Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Each wreath sponsorship is $17. Sponsored wreaths are shipped directly to the participating cemetery selected by the sponsor for placement on National Wreaths Across America Day. \nWreaths may be sponsored online through Wreaths Across America using a credit/debit card. Sponsors should select the cemetery where they would like their sponsorship credited. \nSponsor a wreath online:\nWreaths Across America – Sponsor a Wreath \nThose who prefer to sponsor through the King’s Gap Chapter may contact the chapter for a sponsorship form and pay by cash or check. \nThe deadline to sponsor a wreath is December 2\, 2026. \nPatriotic Quilt Raffle\nAnyone who sponsors five wreaths will be entered into a raffle for a handmade patriotic quilt. Sponsorships made online through Wreaths Across America or directly through the King’s Gap Chapter qualify. \nThe deadline to sponsor five wreaths and qualify for the raffle is December 2. The winning ticket will be drawn during the Wreaths Across America ceremony on December 19. \nIn Honor or In Memory\nSponsors may also make a sponsorship in honor of someone or in memory of a veteran. An “In Honor Of” sponsorship can include an email notification to the person being honored\, while an “In Memory Of” sponsorship can include a veteran’s name and message on Wreaths Across America’s online Remembrance Wall. These special requests do not designate a wreath for placement on a particular loved one’s grave. \nJoin the Community\nThe public is encouraged to attend the ceremony\, help place wreaths and join the caravan from Pine Mountain Cemetery to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. \nAdditional ceremony details will be announced as plans are finalized. \nSponsored locally by the King’s Gap Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. \n\n\n\nTo sponsor a wreath\, click here:  CLICK HERE or (https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/Shop/Product/597?tid=34EAC16B-7328-4F37-8F56-A688DAC5245A&pageIds=167845\,0)\n\n\n\nThe local DAR contact is Ms. Seifken.
